Amsterdam Wandelweiser Festival

Sijstermans performed her pieces Elexen for cello and bass clarinet, and trio Cashapona at the Orgelpark in Amsterdam during the 2022 Wandelweiser Festival with Marcus Kaiser (cello), Dante Boon (organ). She also performed in pieces by Antoine Beuger, Bin Li, Emmanuelle Waeckerlé, Radu Malfatti, and Taylan Susam.

Sijstermans presented her double album Betula in a concert with Leo Svirsky (accordion) and Antoine Beuger (flute) in a concert during Cultura Nova (Heerlen, NL). This concert took place at Intro in Situ's pop-up venue during the festival.

As part of the Lagerhaussommer 2022 at Heim.art (Neufelden, AT) Sijstermans created her first autonomous installation Amigo in the surrounding nature and performed with Marcus Kaiser (cello) in work by him and her own new piece Juglans.

Together with Marcus Kaiser, Sijstermans performed her new composition Juglans for cello, bass clarinet and audience. This performance was part of the project Happy Hour - Momente der Verbundenheit taking place in the medieval church tower in the town of Haslach (AT).

Sijstermans's latest work Cashapona was finally performed, although not in her site-specific installation Kaíi-ií that it was composed for. Ukranian composer, pianist and improvisor Danya Pilchen presented new work that focuses on silence, breath, resonance and time. The proceeds of this concert were donated to INSIGHT, an NGO which helps LGBTQ+ people in the war in Ukraine. Performers: Anne La Berge (flute), Germaine Sijstermans (clarinet), Seamus Cater (harmonica), Koen Nutters (double bass), Danya Pilchen (piano).

Performance of Elexen together with Marcus Kaiser (cello) in the installation Kaíi-ií. Due to a corona infection, the premiere of the commissioned work Cashapona for trio had been postponed to the finissage concert on March 13th 2002.

Sijstermans's new work Parmelia for three clarinets was premiered during this matinee concert celebrating the 70th birthdays of composers Arno Dieteren and John Slangen. Germaine performed Parmelia together with Paulien Dieteren and Beppie Paquay.

Sijstermans's work Linden was commissioned by Ensemble Möbelgruppe for this concert titled Solastalgia, presenting works from socially and environmentally engaged composers to challenge and exposing listeners to new understandings of our relationship with the environment - one that is not extractive or destructive.
The programme was performed by Michiko Ogawa (clarinet), Lucy Railton (cello), Rishin Singh (trombone) and Eric Wong (guitar).

Sijstermans worked on installations and performed with Marcus Kaiser (vcl) in the warehouse of HEIM.ART, a gallery and workspace situated in a former industrial building. Along side Sijstermans's work in progress there were exhibitions with works of Marcus Kaiser, Joachim Eckl and Karl-Heinz Tritschler.
